Donations to the Cape Fear Band Program are tax deductible & allowed by the IRS

ORGANIZATION

The Cape Fear Band Boosters exists to support the activities of the Cape Fear Instrumental Music Department. All parents of students enrolled in the Department are automatically members of the Band Boosters.

The Band Booster organization meets the 1st Monday (EXCEPT FOR HOLIDAYS) of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the school. All parents are encouraged to attend and get involved. Attending the Booster meetings are the best way to stay informed on the plans and activities of the Band Program.

The Band Boosters perform a wide variety of activities in support of the music and guard programs, including constructing props, maintaining facilities and equipment, travel and transportation, volunteer coordination, and fundraising.

The Band Boosters maintain an email list of all members to keep you informed of events, schedules and other important information. If you are a parent or student and do not currently get the Band Booster email messages, send a request to email:mwlms@earthlink.net and include your name as well as your student's name.

*GOVERNANCE*

The Booster organization exists under the primary guidance and executive governance of the Cape Fear High School/Director of Instrumental Music. The Booster organization provides operational support to the Director and his Staff.

To All Band Parents

The Cape Fear Band Boosters are currently selling HOLIDAY HAMS. Fresh Baked Hams are $30.00 and Smoked Hams are $35.00. The last day to place your order is December 12th. Hams will be available for pick up on the 18th.

The next Parent Meeting is on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the Band Room. We will have BAKED and SMOKED HAMS available for tasting. Please make plans to attend.

Funding & Fundraising

As a reminder, our Band program is only partially funded by the School District. It is mostly funded by the Band Boosters - which means YOU. Remember that returning students and parents can defer some or all of your band contribution by participating in the many fundraising opportunities that exist.
