In order to truly achieve the level of excellence and professionalism that the Cape Fear Instrumental Music Dept. seeks in its students, performers are strongly encouraged to take private lessons in their selected instrument outside of the regular ensemble setting. Musical proficiency is required of all Cape Fear students, and proficiency generally requires additional training and instruction other than just sectional and ensemble rehearsals.
